Easter Bunny Offer

For the month of April we are running a special offer for rabbits. The cost of a myxomatosis vaccine has been reduced by 25% and the cost of Panacur rabbit wormer has been reduced by 30%. Fleas are responsible for the spread of myxomatosis, and as the weather warms up they are more prevalent, causing an increased risk to your pet. Protect your rabbit from this horrible and usually fatal disease by phoning the practice to make your appointment. Recently a neurological disease called Encephalitozoonosis has become more common in pet rabbits. It is caused by a protozoal parasite and causes neurological signs such as a head tilt, weakness and paralysis. Luckily Panacur rabbit wormer can be used to prevent and treat this disease. It is recommended that all rabbits are given a minimum of two wormer courses per year, but ideally four courses (ie. every 3 months). Make use of the Easter Bunny Offer to get your rabbit wormed and vaccinated at the special reduced price.

Jane & Lucy's first year of partnership

It has been one year since Lucy joined Jane in partnership at Summerhill. The year has flown by and we're both very proud of the practice and all our staff. Our aim is to provide a friendly yet professional service to all our clients, and we're grateful for all the positive feedback we've recieved from you all.

First aid talks

Steph Daykin, one of our registered veterinary nurses, has started to run first aid talks for dog owners. If you would like her to talk to your training group, to a few friends or do a one to one talk, she would be more than happy to help. She will run through important issues such as haemorrhage control, bandaging, bites and stings, burns and scalds and information regarding gastric dilation volvulus. The talks can take place at the practice or at a venue of your choice. Steph has also put together a first aid pack for dog owners. These can be purchased from the practice or from our on-line shop. Ideal for keeping in the car, in case an injury occurs whilst out on a dog walk.
