May Newsletter

New regular newsletter

From May 2008 we will have a regular monthly on-line newsletter. The aim of the newsletter is to keep you up to date with anything new that's happening at Summerhill, and inform you about any special offers we may have.

Help with neutering costs

If you are on benefits you may be eligible for help towards the cost of neutering your pet. Application forms are available from reception. The RSPCA is subsidising the cost of neutering, so that you pay as little as £15 for a cat or rabbit and £40 for a dog.

Processing insurance claim forms

Alot of veterinary practices charge their clients for completeing their insurance claim forms, and this is something that we looked into due to the high number of claims we currently have to process. However we have decided NOT to charge you, and we hope that we will be able to continue to avoid having to do this in the future.

Expanding our website

From the middle of May, via our web site you will be able to access 'E-pet Health'. This link provides factsheets on numerous different diseases and conditions that may affect your pet. The easy to read text and practical diagrams, should ensure you have a full understanding of the implications of any disease your pet may be diagnosed with. We are also setting up an on-line 'Summerhill Shop', which should be running in the next month or so. Over the internet you will be able to buy any of our pet accessories currently displayed in the waiting room. In time, if this proves useful to you, our clients, we hope to expand it to food and medications. Watch this space!
